In 2015, Wangaraufoods was just one year old. Fresh out of university, with zero experience but 100% zeal, I was doing everything by myself. One day, I received a message; you wanted me to deliver food items to your mum. You asked for a particular brand of milk (and later, Tetley tea!), and I remember going on a long search until I found it. When I finally delivered, you called to say thank you. That simple act of kindness and encouragement was the day I “fell in love” with you.
From then on, we kept in touch. Fast forward to 2019. You were preparing for your dad’s burial, and you encouraged us to serve our proudly Nigerian food items at the event. That moment wasn’t just business, it was a show of trust and support. It was also the first time I met you in person, and I discovered an incredible woman: loving, supportive, and all-round amazing. And then came London! My Amazon! We met at Euston Station, where you even paid for my first Oyster card.

That meeting felt divine, you hugged me with such warmth, encouraged me, and “gingered” me like only you could. From that day, the bond grew even stronger.
